Lemon delight
Soft, fragrant and enveloping: Lemon Delight or Delizia al Limone is the symbolic dessert of the Amalfi Coast, a true icon of Campania pastry making. Born in the 1970s from the creativity of master pastry chef Carmine Marzuillo, Delizia was conceived as a tribute to the lemon, the golden fruit of the lands of Amalfi and Sorrento.
The simple and graceful dome shape contains a perfect combination of consistencies and flavors: a light sponge cake soaked in limoncello syrup, filled and glazed with a velvety and fragrant lemon cream, prepared with the juice and zest of the famous Costa d’Amalfi PGI lemons. The result is a fresh, elegant dessert that is deeply tied to the territory.
